PRESIDENT KALJULAID FOUNDATION ORANGE WEEKS PROGRAM “WHY ARE WE SILENT?”

  • The Orange Conversations program took place from November  the 25th to December 10th as part of the awareness campaign. Over the course of 16 days, the goal is to draw attention to the prevention and end domestic violence by bringing the topic to the agenda in unexpected environments and formats. Many of them are being organized by Optimist Live.

     November 26th at the Fonoteek - “Maiduk presents: Mehis Mehiste Manly Man's Training”

     November 27th in the Balti Jaama tunnel - “Anatomy of Silence”, where an exhibition of student creations in the urban space of Tallinn will open.

     December 3rd at Fotografiska - “Experts discuss: domestic  violence as an economic and security problem”


     December 10 in front of the Estonian Parliament - “Breaking the Wall of Silence: Stories of Domestic Violence Around Us.” On International Human Rights Day, Estonian men will read summaries of police calls related to domestic violence from sunrise to sunset.
